But if you are someone who studies mathematics or engineering, you will know the importance of this graph since it is used in every basic and advanced level projects and courses. The paper is printed with a graph comprising of fine lines that form a grid, hence named graph paper.

A Cartesian graph paper is composed of a grid of lines that is divided into four equal parts called quadrants. The quadrants are divided according to the x-axis and y-axis. Hence the graphs are used for the two-dimensional purposes only.

The Importance of Cartesian graph papers:

Graph papers are of the various types and they are referred to as Cartesian graphs if the x and y coordinates are used in them. They are used to show the location of any object anywhere on the map. You can easily locate the origin and end point of anyone or any journey using the Cartesian graphs.

There are various types of the Cartesian graphs depending upon the lines in the grids and the dimensions. Here is a little bit of insight into the types of these graphs:

You can have a graph that appears in a variety of background colors. Whether it is green or pink, it is available readily.
You can adjust the grid as well which means you can adjust the number of lines in an inch from 1 to 25.
The line separation could be adjusted as well. A one-inch grid could have lines separated from 1 to 25 millimeters.
