Enter the route details and add the houses, treat stations, meeting points, or other stops you plan to visit. For each stop, you can enter the distance from the previous stop, expected time at the stop, and any useful notes.
How is the estimated walking time calculated?
The planner adds the entered distances between stops and uses the selected walking speed to estimate the total walking time.
What walking speeds can I choose?
You can choose a slower pace for young children, a normal family walking pace, or a brisk pace. The selected speed is used only for the route-time estimate.
How is the total route time calculated?
Total route time combines the estimated walking time with the minutes you expect to spend at all entered stops.
How is the estimated finish time calculated?
If you enter a start time, the planner adds the estimated walking time and stop time to show an approximate finish time.
Can I add my own houses and route stops?
Yes. Use Add Stop to add as many route stops as needed. Each stop can include a name, address or area, distance, stop time, and notes.
Do empty route rows count as stops?
No. Blank rows are ignored in the route summary and printable checklist. A stop is included when its name, address, or notes contain information.
Can I record adults and children in the group?
Yes. The Route Details section includes separate fields for adults or supervisors and children, and these figures appear in the route overview.
Can I add safety notes for the whole route?
Yes. Use the Safety Notes / Instructions field for reminders such as staying together, using sidewalks, carrying lights, checking treats, and crossing roads with an adult.
Can I add safety notes for individual stops?
Yes. Every route stop has its own Notes / Safety field for details such as busy driveways, crossing points, queues, dark areas, or other reminders.
Does the planner verify whether a route is safe?
No. The planner organizes information entered by the user. It does not verify traffic, lighting, road conditions, property access, participating homes, or other real-world conditions. An adult should review the planned route before leaving.
Does the planner use live maps or GPS?
No. Distances and locations are entered manually. The planner does not provide GPS navigation, live traffic information, or automatic route optimization.
Can I print the completed route?
Yes. The Live Preview creates an A4 route plan with the route overview, time summary, stop checklist, and safety instructions.
Can I save the route plan as a PDF?
Yes. Select Print / Save PDF and use your browser's print dialog to print the route or save it as a PDF.
Can I load an example route?
