Resignation Due to Job Dissatisfaction

Job satisfaction is a crucial factor that contributes to the growth and success of the workplace. It is attributed to a variety of factors like interest level, communication level, cooperation level, and many more. However, it is rare for an employee to be highly satisfied with their job.

Almost 60% to 70% of professionals consistently complain about their job level. Hence, the organization must take notice of this issue. Additionally, it should plan and implement various strategies to achieve employee satisfaction.

Dissatisfaction at the job level can arise from a variety of factors. When employees’ expectations are not met in the way they desired, dissatisfaction levels start to rise. Once the dissatisfaction level reaches a breaking point, employees tend to consider resignation. This resignation can be given in many cases, like:

  1. If the employees are not interested in the type of job, as they are doing it as a compulsion.
  2. When the salary or income level is not worth the experience and skills.
  3. When employees found no or weightless career growth and career opportunities.
  4. If the company at work is immoral, careless, and troublesome.

Hence, a variety of reasons can lead to job dissatisfaction, which in turn may result in resignation. The letter must not include irrelevant material. Additionally, the sense of dissatisfaction could be stated appropriately. The company name, employee, manager, signature, and date should be included.

A sample resignation letter is attached as follows.

Sample Letter

Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from my position as [designation] at the company. I suffered a lot during the period I was serving in this company due to extreme dissatisfaction and discomfort. I was facing severe stress continuously in one form or another.

Since I was promoted to manager, I have been unable to perform my duties effectively. I am constantly swamped, juggling multiple tasks. I have requested that you provide me with additional staff from the training department several times, but each time, you have ignored my requests.

I am now exhausted with all this and want to leave the job immediately. It has also severely affected my personal life, as I am left with no time to spend with my family.

I hereby tender my resignation from the company. Thank you for giving me the chance to work with your firm.

Sincerely,
