Notification Letters to Tenant

Notification letters are served to tenants when the tenants are found to be in violation of the agreement terms. Notification letters are warning letters that give some specified time to the tenant to fulfill the landlord’s fair demands.

A notification letter is issued to the tenant by the landlord or by a real estate agency on behalf of the landlord. Notification letters may be issued for a number of reasons including but not limited to:

  • Notice to pay overdue rent
  • Notice to pay for damages to the house
  • Notice to inform about a change of management
  • Notice to vacate the house
  • Notice to increase the rent
  • Notice about intended sale of property
  • The notice related to parking
  • Notice for extension or termination of the lease agreement

Notification letter to vacate is a letter written by the landlord or the real estate agent to the tenant to vacate the occupied property in a said number of days. The letter must be written in accordance with the legal contract signed between the two at the time of renting the property.

The letter is written to the tenant to inform him/her about the change of the management of the property. The letter must contain the details of the new management so that tenant does not feel any difficulty to contact them to discuss personal or legal matters.

The end of lease notification letter to the tenant is issued by the landlord or real estate agent to let the tenant know that the lease period of the property is going to end. The letter serves as a notification only but it may contain information about the cancellation or renewal of the lease.
