Letter of Gratitude and Appreciation for Helping in Difficult Times

The main purpose of this letter is to express the employee’s thankfulness to the employer when the latter has helped the employee in his crucial time. The employee also mentions the positive impacts of the employer’s help on him, and how much he appreciates and realizes that.

An employee may face difficult situations in his life, and he often seeks help and relies on his employer to back him in going through those circumstances. The employee might need different sorts of the employer’s support, for instance:

  • Financial assistance, such as loans, advance salary, etc.
  • Work from home.
  • Lesser number of working hours.
  • Leave or off-days for emergencies, etc.

When an employee requests his employer for any help at a crucial time, the employer analyses the situation, and if it is not harmful for the organization, and the employee is stuck in a strenuous position, the employer might grant his request and provide the needed help. In response to that, the employee may want to extend his gratitude through a formal letter.

Dear Ms. Sarah,

This letter is a small gesture of expressing my gratitude and appreciation for your help in my crucial time.

My father got sick and needed an immediate bypass. I pulled all the strings but was not able to collect the required funds. Then, I approached you with my loan request, and you became my family’s savior by understanding and responding immediately. I was able to attain the money within three days, and the surgery was conducted smoothly, as planned. My father is much better now and is recovering by the grace of God.

I and my family are extremely happy about your timely help. I believe you are one of those employers who does not only claim but understand and care for their employees. I feel even more connected to our company now, and I am glad to be a part of such a considerate organization.

I would like to thank you once again for being my rescuer in my difficult time. I will ensure the timely repayments of my loan. Thank you.

Regards,

John Will.
