Apology Letter to Boss for Fighting at Work

An employee prepares an apology letter to the boss for fighting at work. In it, he addresses his employer and the effects of the working environment.

Sometimes, employees, being human, get overwhelmed by their emotions. They may become aggressive and fight when they do not adequately manage and control their emotions. This affects the whole working atmosphere, and companies do not accept such unprofessional behaviour. The employees may even receive warning letters for fighting at work.

To handle the chaos and reactions, an employee would write an apology letter and seek forgiveness from his employer for fighting at work. This letter might alleviate the situation.

The tone of this letter needs to be polite and apologetic. The words should show that the employee is sorry and regrets his mistake. This formal apology may be kept in the employee’s file and used as a reference in the future. Hence, the letter should be written carefully and professionally.

The severity of the fighting issue and the management’s reactions would determine the information in the apology letter. The general details included in an apology letter to the boss for fighting at work are:

Dear Ms. Emily,

I am writing this apology letter to seek your forgiveness for my unprofessional behaviour of fighting at work.

When I first got involved in the ABC project, I got extremely excited and wanted to own it. I wanted to show my best and was willing to put all my efforts and time into this project. However, I did not realize I was rude to my team members.

I misbehaved with them several times, and they immediately apologized and forgave me. This misbehaviour turned into fighting, and I was constantly putting pressure on and fighting with them to deliver an excellent project. This is when they started making complaints against me.

I realize that though I was doing it for the company, I should not have shown such unprofessional behaviour. Amidst the project excitement, I negatively affected my team. I sincerely apologize, and I will try to control my emotions from now on.

I hope you will accept my apology. I am sorry again.

Regards,

Sarah Watson.
